How do you separate the dogs?
Trained staff get to know each dog personally – separating them by size and temperament.
What vaccinations are required?
Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella (kennel cough) are required to attend. Your dog should also be up to date with heart guard and a flea and tick preventative. While we don’t require the Canine Flu vaccine, it is highly recommended.
What age can my puppy start?
Puppies can begin at 4 months of age once all of the vaccines and any booster needed for Bordetella, Distemper and Rabies are completed.
Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered to attend?
After 6 months of age dogs must be spayed or neutered. We do not make exceptions due to the problems that can arise in group play when dogs are intact.
Can my dog get sick from other dogs while at Frisky Dog?
Just like with young children in daycare, dogs in large groups may spread minor “bugs” amongst themselves. Because we require proof of vaccinations before we accept dogs, these bugs tend to be minor. Cold like illnesses, including runny noses and eyes can be passed around in a daycare/boarding environment.
Can my dog get hurt while in Playcare?
Dogs love to play and many play hard. We take every precaution to make sure our play areas are safe and free of rough edges. Play area floors are covered in rubber for traction and safety. That said, dogs will be dogs and some minor scrapes and bruises may happen to particularly exuberant players. The occasional torn nail is not uncommon either. Our staff is trained in first aid and we have partnered with vets in the area to ensure emergency relief is only minutes away. We call owners immediately on any injuries.
What kind of play areas do you have?

Our 10,000 square foot outdoor area is covered with pet turf and our indoor spaces are covered in rubber flooring for easy on your pets feet and joints.

Do you have periods of rest?

Dogs are given breaks as needed.

When can my dog board?

We ask that your dog attend daycare at least 3 times before boarding. Once your dog is comfortable attending daycare, you are welcome to make your boarding reservation. During the day your dog joins the regular daycare. By evening, your dog is ready to rest.

What do I bring for boarding?

Please bring your dog’s food in an airtight container or individual baggies with their name and any instructions. We can also accommodate raw or wet food. You can bring medications with written instructions. You may also bring a bed, blanket or a toy that will make your dog feel more comfortable

How do I schedule the trial?

Call to set up a trial spot for your pup. Our trial days are on Mondays and Saturdays. You can download and fill out the required forms before coming for your first visit. This speeds up the process and makes sure we have what we need prior to taking your pup into the play group. (link to forms page)

Do you offer grooming?

We have a full-service groomer at Frisky Dog. Please call for information on grooming availability and pricing.
